They were accompanied by representatives from the airline, local and Miami County authorities, as well as the aircraft captain and crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWelcoming passengers on this daily American Airlines flight from Miami is like welcoming a good friend back home, as this air connectivity has been a tradition for our airport and our Casa de Campo resort,\u201d said Luis Emilio Rodriguez, director of La Romana International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday, our La Romana destination has developed and strengthened with the investment and presence of new hotel chains, offering travelers who enter our airport a variety of accommodation options, within the framework of a tourist hub that continues to grow,\u201d Rodriguez stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, American Airlines Regional Manager Oliver Bojos highlighted the importance of reopening this route for the airline, as this daily flight strengthens its presence with more than five destinations throughout the country. \u201cWe are proud to continue growing in the Dominican Republic through our highly anticipated return to La Romana,\u201d Bojos stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This daily American Airlines flight is scheduled to depart Miami at 10:37 a.m. and land in La Romana at around 2:00 p.m. The return flight to Miami from La Romana departs at 3:15 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees at the American Airlines flight&#8217;s welcoming ceremony included Eduardo Mart\u00ednez-Lima, Executive Vice President of Central Romana; Andr\u00e9s Pichardo, President of Casa de Campo; Jason Kycek, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Casa de Campo; Marvin Ochoa, Caribbean Sales Manager for AA; Kevin Marino Cabrera, Commissioner of the 6th District of Miami County; Daniel P\u00e9rez, Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives; Andr\u00e9s Fern\u00e1ndez, President of the Romana-Bayahibe Hotel Association; Eduardo Kery, Mayor of La Romana; Ivelisse M\u00e9ndez, Provincial Governor of La Romana, among others.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Romana. \u2013 American Airlines is once again resuming its route from Miami with a daily flight to La Romana International Airport, connecting this tourist city in the eastern part of the Dominican Republic with the state of Florida.
