La Romana International Airport is committed to delivering a smooth, efficient, and secure travel process. The following guidelines support proper procedures of arrival and departure procedures:
Arrival Procedures
All international passengers entering the Dominican Republic must present required documentation to Immigration and Customs authorities.
Immigration requirements:

Customs Procedures
Customs inspection follows Immigration procedures.
All baggage is subject to inspection for prohibited or restricted items, based on the guidelines and discretion of customs, agriculture and drug enforcement authorities
After the Customs hall, passengers proceed directly to the parking and transportation area.
Departure Procedures
For flight-related inquiries or details, contact the corresponding airline representative at the gate or an airport representative at the information desk.
Check-In
Airline counters are located in the Commercial Terminal.
Counters typically open three (3) hours prior to scheduled departure and close one (1) hour before the scheduled flight departure.
Due to outbound procedures, including security screening by CESAC (Specialized Airport Security Corps) and Migration clearance—arrival at the airport at least two (2) hours before departure is highly recommended
Security & Migration:
After check-in, passengers proceed to the CESAC security checkpoint for documentation checking and screening of passengers, carry-on items and personal belongings.
Following security, passengers must clear Dominican Republic Migration control
Boarding
Boarding announcements begin approximately 30 to 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure
